Adam Brody Bio, Life and Career:

Adam Jared Brody is the son of Valerie Jill (Siefman), a graphic artist, and Mark Alan Brody, a lawyer. Adam Jared Brody was born and reared in San Diego, California, the son of his parents. Both of his parents come from religiously observant Jewish households, and they were born and raised in Michigan (from Russia and Poland). Adam’s formative years were largely spent in the company of his peers, engaged in activities such as surfing, hanging out, and having fun.

After completing high school, he was successful in persuading his parents to fund his education at a college in Los Angeles. However, instead of enrolling in school, he engaged an acting coach, signed with a talent manager, and soon after earned the main role in the NBC movie-of-the-week, Growing Up Brady (2000), playing Barry Williams. He continued to pursue a career in the entertainment industry (Greg Brady).

Soon after that, Brody was chosen to play the main character, Zack Altman, in the Much Ado About Whatever series on MTV (2001). Other notable roles he has played on television include Coop, a recurring character on ABC’s Once and Again (1999), Dave Rygalski, a recurring character on The WB’s Gilmore Girls (2000), and standout guest-starring roles in the television shows Judging Amy (1999), Family Law (1999), and Smallville (1999).

After that, Brody became well-known for his role as Seth Cohen in the Fox sitcom The O.C. (2003), which catapulted him to stardom. Brody’s early feature film credits include a minor role in the thriller The Ring (2002), a lead role in the drama Missing Brendan (2003), and supporting roles in the action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and the comedy-drama Thank You for Smoking (2007).

It was scheduled to star in and co-produce a remake of Revenge of the Nerds (1984) in 2007, but the project was scrapped after three weeks of production had already taken place. The novels “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” by Michael Chabon, “Less than Zero” by Bret Easton Ellis, and “Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger are among of the author’s most cherished works. It was said that the producers and ABC offered him a fee of $400,000 for each episode of the show that he would star in. This would have made him one of the highest-paid performers working in television during that time period.
On August 4, 2015, his wife, Leighton Meester, gave birth to their daughter Arlo Day Brody, making Brody a father for the first time in his life at the age of 35.
