Adam Driver Bio, Life and Career:
The city of San Diego, in the state of California, is where Adam Douglas Driver was born. His mother, Nancy (Needham) Wright, is a paralegal from Mishawaka, Indiana, and his father, Joe Douglas Driver, is from Little Rock, Arkansas. Joe Douglas Driver has significant roots in the American South, while his mother Nancy (Needham) Wright is from Indiana. His stepfather is a minister in the Baptist church. His family tree includes ancestors from the Netherlands, England, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland.
Following the split of his parents, Driver was reared in Mishawaka, where he attended Mishawaka High School and participated in the theater program there. Following the events of September 11, 2001, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for more than two years until being medically dismissed. He had sustained an injury that prevented him from being deployed, therefore this was the reason for his discharge.
Driver began his education at the University of Indianapolis for one year before transferring to the Juilliard School of Drama in New York City. He received his diploma from Juilliard in the year 2009. However, he had a sternum injury not long before he was scheduled to be sent to Iraq, and as a result, he was medically discharged from the military. He was unemployed at the time, so he enrolled in the University of Indianapolis, where he participated in school productions of Pippin and Endgame.
After that, he attempted his audition for Juilliard once more, and this time he was accepted. After receiving his diploma from Juilliard in 2009, Driver began his acting career onstage in New York City.
