Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson CBE was a Scottish football manager and the player who was born on the 31st of December 1941. He is best known for his time managing Manchester United, which lasted from 1986 till 2013. He has won more trophies than any other manager in the history of football, making him widely considered to be one of the best managers of all time. During his time as manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson is widely regarded as having placed a strong emphasis on the club’s “Class of ’92,” a group of young players who were instrumental in the club’s rise to prominence as one of the wealthiest and most successful in the world.

As a forward, Ferguson contributed to the success of multiple Scottish clubs, notably Dunfermline Athletic and Rangers, during his career. During the 1965–1966 season, he was the top goalscorer in the Scottish league while playing for Dunfermline, and he was awarded this honor. After coming to the end of his playing career, he also had a job as a coach, and then he began his career as a manager with East Stirlingshire and St. Mirren.
