Amy Lame Bio, Life, and Career:

Amy Lamé is an American-British performer, writer, and TV and radio presenter. She is best known for her one-woman shows, her performance group Duckie, and LGBT-themed media works. Amy Lamé (née Caddle; born January 3, 1971) is a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom. In November 2016, she was given the position of “Night Czar” for the city of London by Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London.

In this role, she is responsible for promoting London’s diverse nightlife both within the United Kingdom and internationally, as well as protecting venues located throughout the city. Amy Lamé was born in Keyport, New Jersey, and spent her childhood there before moving to London in 1992. She has been together with Jennie since 1995, and the two are now married. Lamé was a co-host on the afternoon show that aired on BBC London from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, alongside Danny Baker.

She was one of the co-founders as well as co-hosts of the weekly queer cultural and current affairs podcast known as HomoLab, which aired between the months of December 2010 and June 2014.
