Amy Shark Bio, Life, and Career:

Amy Louise Billings, who was born on May 14, 1986, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter-guitarist and producer who hails from the Gold Coast in the state of Queensland. She is better known by her stage name, Amy Shark. Between the years of 2008 and 2012, she released her earliest solo material under the name Amy Cushway and played it live. Her track “Adore,” which she released in 2016, reached the number three spot on the ARIA Singles Chart and the number two spot on the Triple J Hottest 100, in 2016.

On the ARIA Albums Chart, her album Love Monster (which was released in July 2018) debuted at number one. Shark has been awarded eight ARIA Music Awards out of a total of twenty-nine nominations, including three wins for “Best Pop Release.” These victories came in 2017, 2018, and 2020 for the extended play “Night Thinker,” “Love Monster,” and “Everyone Rise,” respectively. After the death of Shark’s biological father, Robyn’s mother Robyn remarried and reared Shark together with her new husband David Cushway, and another younger half-sibling on the Gold Coast.
