On a military installation in Manila, in the Philippines, Callen was born.

He was born in the United States to parents of American descent, Victoria Callen (née Sclafani), and Michael A. Callen. Because of his father’s work as an international banker, Callen spent the majority of his childhood and adolescence living in many countries, such as the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Greece, and Saudi Arabia. He turned fourteen years old in Greece. In 1985, he received his diploma from Northfield Mount Hermon High School, which is located in Gill, Massachusetts. After that, he received his bachelor of arts degree in History from American University, which is located in Washington, District of Columbia.

Alongside Brendan Schaub and the producer’s Chin and Kat, Callen is presently hosting a podcast together with the title The Fighter and the Kid. The arena of mixed martial arts was once the primary emphasis of the podcast; however, with their departure from Fox Sports, they have begun to often address topics related to pop culture and current affairs.  In 2016, Schaub and Callen took their podcast on the road for a nationwide tour, where it was played live. The tour stopped at a variety of theatres across the country, including the Gramercy Theatre in New York City, the Wilbur Theatre in Boston, and The Vic Theatre in Chicago. It came to a close at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. The Fighter and the Kid 3D was published by Schaub and Callen in the year 2016. The sketch comedy pieces featured in the digital download series consist of twelve episodes and are based on the hosts’ podcast identities.

Reba, Fat Actress, Californication, and How I Met Your Mother are some of the shows that come to mind.  On “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” which aired on ABC Family, Callen played the role of Ricky’s sexually abusive father.  In addition to that, you can catch him on Chelsea Lately quite frequently. The first episode of the series was filmed in 2009, but it didn’t premiere until 2011. In one of the episodes of the web series Romantic Encounters from 2012–2013, he shared the screen with Melinda Hill.  The Ten Minute Podcast was initially launched on February 20, 2012, by Callen, along with fellow comedians and performers Will Sasso and Chris D’Elia.
