Crissle West Bio, Life, and Career:

Crissle West is a comedian and writer who resides in the United States. Her role as co-host of the popular culture podcast “The Read” brought her the most attention. She has been a guest star on episodes of Drunk History, in which she has recounted the tales of Harriet Tubman’s activities as a Union spy during the American Civil War and Marsha P. Johnson and the Stonewall uprising. West was reared in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he attended Booker T. Washington high school and received his high school diploma in the year 2000.

West was born in Louisiana. 2004 was the year that she received her degree from the University of Oklahoma. She originally connected with Kid Fury, who would later become her co-host on The Read, on Twitter, and then they eventually met in person during a trip she took to Atlanta in 2012. Shortly after that, West relocated to New York City, where he began working at a magazine before transitioning into a role as an executive assistant. Two months after West arrived in New York, Kid Fury approached her with the idea of establishing a podcast through the Loud Speakers Network.
