She co-starred with Hugh Jackman in the 2017 superhero film Logan as the mutant Laura, the infant clone of Wolverine. The role marked Keen’s first major role in the film industry.

The movie premiered to positive reviews as well as strong financial results, and it is now widely regarded as one of the very greatest superhero movies ever made. In 2019, Keen was cast in the lead role of Lyra Belacqua in the BBC/HBO television adaptation of the His Dark Materials trilogy. She co-stars in the series with actress Ruth Wilson, and her father is also a member of the cast of the series.
