Dallas Roberts Bio, Life and Career:

Dallas Mark Roberts is an American actor who is most recognized for his role as “Milton Mamet” in the incredibly successful zombie television series “The Walking Dead.” The actor’s resume also includes roles in television series such as “The Good Wife” and “Unforgettable.” At this time, he may be seen in episodes of the Netflix series ‘Insatiable.’ Roberts began his career as an actor on stage and appeared in a number of Broadway productions during the latter part of the 1990s and the early 2000s.

After that, he began his career as an actor in films, and he has since appeared in over 30 films and television shows. While he was still in college, he had a lot of questions about what he wanted to do for a living. He was motivated to pursue acting on a serious level by the encouragement he received from his drama professor to do so, and this inspiration helped him earn roles in successful theater productions such as “Burn This” (2002) and “Nocturne.”

The 10th of May, 1970 found Dallas Roberts being born in the city of Houston, Texas. Bryan Roberts is the name of his brother. In Houston, he received his education at the Paul Revere Middle School and then went on to graduate from the Robert E. Lee High School. When Roberts came to Sarasota, Florida, he was still a high school student at the time, and he did not complete his education until 1988 when he graduated from the “Sarasota High School.” After spending some time at the ‘State College of Florida,’ he decided to pursue his education at the ‘Juilliard School’ in New York City in the year 1990.

After another four years, Roberts received his diploma from the “Juilliard School” where he had been a member of “Group 23” in the drama division. Roberts began his professional life as a theatre artist, participating in productions that were staged both on and off of Broadway. Burn This, which was directed by Lanford Wilson, was one of his first and most significant roles in a film (2002). Roberts, Norton, and Keener were the other two actors who appeared on stage alongside Roberts in this drama, which focused on homosexual identities.

As he was just starting out in the industry, he was recognized for his work in Adam Rapp’s “Nocturne” and received a nomination for a Drama Desk Award. Caryl Churchill’s “A Number” was one of the important works that he contributed to. The movie “A Home at the End of the World,” which was an adaptation of a novel written by Michael Cunningham, was one of his earliest projects on the silver screen (2004).

Almost immediately after that, he was cast in a few more minor roles in biographical dramas such as “Walk the Line” (2005) and “The Notorious Betty Page” (2005). Through the films ‘Sisters’ (2006) and ‘Joshua’ (2007), he explored the horror subgenre between the years 2006 and 2007.  Between the years 2007 and 2017, he has roles in a number of different films. The films “Ingenious” (2009), “The River Why” (2010), “The Grey” (2012) and “2011” (2011), “Dallas Buyer’s Club” (2013), and “Mayhem” (2014) are the ones that stand out as particularly deserving of a mention (2017).

In 1994, Roberts debuted in the television industry by appearing in the series ‘New York Undercover.’ Three years later, in 2006, he played a pivotal part in the television series ‘The L Word.’ After then, he participated in a variety of different ventures as an actor. In the television series “Rubicon,” which aired in 2010, he had a recurring role as “Miles Fiedler.” In the same year, he had a role in the police procedural drama ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent,’ and the following year, he had roles in the television shows ‘Chicago P.D.’ and ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’

“Elementary” is a modern reimagining of the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle, and Eric Roberts played a role in the production. During the third season of ‘The Walking Dead,’ he had a significant surge in popularity (2012-2013). ‘The Good Wife’ (which ran from 2010 to 2016) and ‘Unforgettable’ are two of his other television programs (2013-2015).

At this time, he may be seen in episodes of the Netflix series ‘Insatiable.’ Additionally, he has a role in the upcoming anthology series on Netflix called “Heartstrings,” which is set to debut in 2019. As a result of his performance as ‘Milton Mamet’ on ‘The Walking Dead,’ Dallas Roberts has garnered fame all across the world. In spite of the fact that the show is based on a comic book series, the character known as “Mamet” was created just for the adaptation and does not feature in the original source material.

Mamet is a scientist and is considered to be among the Governor’s most trusted advisors. The title of the first episode he appeared in was “Walk with Me,” and the title of the final episode he featured in was “Welcome to the Tombs.”
His performances in “Dallas Buyer’s Club” (2008) and “3:10 to Yuma” (2014) earned him nominations for “Screen Actors Guild Awards” in the “Outstanding Performance by the Cast in a Motion Picture” category in both 2008 and 2014, respectively.
