She was born on November 8, 1979, in Santo Domingo when Agueda Camacho and Daniel Ramirez of the Dominican Republic welcomed their first daughter. Her parents escaped the Soviet Union with her when she was six months old and took her to the United States, where she was nurtured by her grandmother until she was three years old.
