Danny Pino Bio, Life and Career:

Danny was born to Cuban parents in Miami, Florida, in the United States. After completing his high school education at Miami Coral Park High School, he continued his education at Florida International University, from which he received his degree in 1996. During this time period, Danny began to show signs of developing an interest in pursuing a career as a professional actor, and he enrolled in the Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

After he received his diploma, he immediately started trying out for roles in movies and on television. In 2001, Danny made his debut on the big screen as an actor when he was cast in the lead role of Clay in the television show Men, Women & Dogs. The show lasted for a total of 13 episodes. In addition, he has roles in a number of television movies, including Point of Origin (2002), Lucy (2003), and NYPD 2069. (2004).

Danny’s career took off in the right direction in 2003 when he was cast in the recurring role of Detective Scotty Valens on the television series Cold Case (2003-2010). Because to his work on the show, he was considered for the Imagen Award in 2005 in the category of Best Supporting Actor in Television and in 2006 in the category of Best Actor in Television.

It was not until 2010 that he was eventually presented with the Imagen Award for Best Actor on Television for his performance in the industry. While Danny was working on Cold Case, he also created two episodes for the show. These episodes were titled “Stealing Home” and “Metamorphosis.” In 2011, Danny began his role on the television show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Detective Nick Amaro (2011-2015).

When he first agreed to play the part, the intention was for it to be a recurrent one; however, as the series progressed, the character became more and more well-liked by returning viewers, and eventually the role was elevated to that of a regular one. Danny was able to establish his place in the entertainment industry by contributing to a well-known show that was already a financial and critical success.

In addition, the Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor in Television went to him in 2015 in recognition of his work as Detective Nick Amaro.His most recent work brought him back to the silver screen, where he played the role of Larry Mora in the film adaptation of the smash-hit musical Dear Evan Hansen that was performed on Broadway (2021). When Danny was a child, one of his goals was not to become an actor.

In the beginning, he wanted to be a professional baseball player, a lawyer, or even a member of the Coast Guard; this was due to the fact that he worked as a lifeguard in Miami when he was a teenager. On February 15, 2002, Danny was united in marriage to Lilly Pino Bernal. They had their first encounter with one another in a middle school drama class.

After they had first met, the two of them continued to pursue their educations together by enrolling in classes at the same institution all the way through junior high school, high school, college, and graduate school respectively. Luca Daniel and Julian Franco are the couple’s two children; both were, named after their fathers. During his early adolescent years, he developed an interest in performing on stage.

After completing his studies at his previous institution, he relocated to the Big Apple and enrolled in the Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating in the year 2000, he immediately started trying out for roles in movies and television shows. In 2001, he made his acting debut with a bit part in an episode of the sitcom named “Men, Women, and Dogs.”

When he was cast in the role of ‘Detective Scotty Valens’ in the television series ‘Cold Case,’ he experienced a significant turning point in his acting career. Throughout his career in television, he was best recognized for his roles as detectives and police officers. In television programs such as “Scandal,” “BrainDead,” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” he has been in both leading and supporting roles.

The film “Point of Origin” from 2002 marked his first appearance in the film industry. After that, he played supporting roles in movies like “Between,” “The Lost City,” and “The Burning Plain,” among others. As a young boy, Danny went to a school called ‘Rockway Middle School,’ where he excelled academically. After that, he received his diploma from what is now known as ‘Miami Coral Park High School.’

After receiving his diploma from high school, he enrolled at what is now known as ‘Florida International University.’ During his time at the institution, he was an active participant in a student fraternity that went by the name Sigma Phi Epsilon. On the other hand, by that time, he had developed a serious interest in acting. He enrolled in “The Graduate Acting Program” of “New York University,” which is housed under the “Tisch School of the Arts,” in order to receive professional training in the field of acting.

After receiving his diploma from Tisc in the year 2000, he immediately started trying out for roles in both movies and television shows. After making an appearance in the television series ‘Burn Notice’ in 2010, he went on to play a recurring character in the television series ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’

From season 13 to season 16, Danny portrayed the role of Detective Nick Amaro in the series. Initially, it was agreed that he would have a recurring role on the show; but, as his character became increasingly well-liked by the show’s dedicated viewers, it was decided to elevate his status to that of a regular cast member.
