Daria O’Neill Bio, Life, and Career:

Daria Eliuk (O’Neill) is an American radio and television personality, as well as an entertainer, who was born on April 26, 1971. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. She has a background in theatre, and in addition to that, she is famous for her irreverent sense of humor. In addition, Eliuk has appeared in productions at local theatres and hosted a variety of different events. Radio Free Daria is the name of the podcast that she hosts at the moment. A native of Wyoming and Montana, who was born on April 26, 1971, in the town of Tipton, Iowa,  Eliuk is a graduate of Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he received a degree in theatre.  Before she decided to pursue a career in radio and started going by “O Neill” as a stage name, she worked as a lifeguard at the Multnomah Athletic Club and as a teacher’s aide at Wilson High School. Both of these jobs were before she made the transition to a career in radio.

Her additional work in the television industry in Portland includes hosting the Entertainment Zone on KPDX from 2004 until 2006. She became a member of The Afternoon Buzz With Dr. Doug, Daria, and Skippy in November 2003, which was a radio program broadcast on KRSK in Portland.

In 2007, Dr. Doug and Skippy left their previous morning show to begin hosting their own program on a different station. The Afternoon Buzz With Daria, Mitch, and Ted was created when Daria remained at KRSK and recruited Mitch Elliott, a well-known DJ from Seattle, as well as Ted Douglass, a producer. This combination led to the creation of the show.  Because of the program, she was able to win a number of awards, including “Portland’s Favorite Radio Personality” for four years in a row. In October of 2018, she debuted the podcast Radio Free Daria, and she continues to publish fiction while also making appearances at events in the Portland area. In 2002 and 2005, Triangle Productions presented the plays Down South and Bad Dates, both of which featured Eiluk in starring roles.  She has also modeled for Willamette Week and hosted the annual political event Candidates Gone Wild in 2004 for the paper along with activist Steve Novick and other people.
