Dario Calmese Bio, Life, and Career:

Dario Calmese is the first African American photographer to ever have their work featured on the cover of Vanity Fair. He is a podcaster and an artist who was born in the state of Missouri. Calmese is the host of the podcast, Institute of Black Imagination, which is available on iTunes. While he was a student at the School of Visual Arts in 2012, he started taking photographs. In 2015, his photographs were featured in a unique exhibition that was dedicated to the Harlem fashion collector Lana Turner. In 2013, he was hired first as the casting director for the fashion presentations produced by Kerby Jean-Raymond, and then later as the director of those shows.
