David Denman Bio, Life and Career:
David Denman was born on July 25, 1973 in the city of Newport Beach, which is located in the state of California, United States. Daniel Lamb is known as his father, while Dorothy Jean is known as his mother. He was named after his parents. His family had previously settled in Saquim, Washington; but, after being there for a period of two years, they ultimately relocated to Orange County, California.
David Denman spent his childhood moving around Southern California and went to a total of eight different schools before settling in at Fountain Valley High School. During his time there, he was fortunate enough to be in the same class as Craig Brewer, writer and director of Hustle and Flow, and Omar Metwally, actor in Munich. After graduating from high school, David went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Juilliard in New York City.
Prior to that, he studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He was a series regular on The Office, which was nominated for an Emmy and won, and he received a Screen Actors Guild award for his depiction of the irritable warehouse worker Roy in that show. The Office was shown on NBC. Denman made his debut on the big screen alongside Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman in the Warner Bros. football comedy The Replacements.
He played a deaf tight end in the film, and many people remember him for the Spyglass/Disney snowboard comedy Out Cold, in which he played the sexually confused bartender Lance. Both films were produced by Disney. When a Stranger Calls, a remake of which was produced by Screen Gems, and Big Fish, which was directed by Tim Burton and starred Ewan McGregor are among Denman’s other feature film credits.
David featured alongside Dean Cain in the movie of the week on USA Network, titled “The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story,” which was broadcast on television. As part of the cast of the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs (2013), David also appeared alongside Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, and Josh Gad. Additionally, David starred alongside Will Smith in the science fiction action film After Earth, which was directed by M. Night Shyamalan. In the same year, he started working on the series Parenthood, which was nominated for a Golden Globe. Between the years 2013 and 2014, he would show up in a total of 11 episodes of the show.
His most recent works include Men, Women, and Children (2014), directed by Jason Reitman; Joel Edgerton’s thriller The Gift (2015), starring Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall; Michael Bay’s action film 13 Hours (2016), starring John Krasinski; and the highly anticipated Power Rangers (2017).
