Dax Shepard Bio, Life and Career:

Dax Randall Shepard was born to parents David Robert “Dave” Shepard, Sr. and Laura LaBo, on January 2, 1975, in Highland Township, Oakland County, Michigan, USA. Dax’s parents split up when he was three years old; his father was a car salesperson, and his mother was an employee of General Motors (GM). David Shepard Jr., his older sibling, currently resides in Beaver State.

By the time Dax was a senior in high school, his mother had already married three times and had a successful business. His mother’s father was a Corvette engineer, and one of his stepfathers was a Corvette engineer. The mother of Dax eventually had four businesses that coordinated publicity events for magazine writers. From the time he was fourteen until he became eighteen, Dax traveled from racetrack to racetrack as her teen-aged employee. Carly Hatter is his younger half-sister. Dax graduated from Walled Lake Central High School in 1993. After that, he spent around five years studying at The Groundlings, an improv and sketch comedy school and troupe in Los Angeles.
