Elliott Kalan Bio, Life, and Career:

Elliott Charles Kalan is a comedian who was born in the United States on December 3, 1981. He was the head writer for the Netflix era of the cult series Mystery Science Theater 3000, and he was also a former head writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. In addition, he has written comic books and is a co-host of the podcast The Flop House. Kalan spent his childhood in Millburn, New Jersey, and attended Millburn High School, where he earned his diploma with the class of 1999. He received his education from the Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing while enrolled at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

There, he focused his studies on screenwriting. In 2003, Elliott Kalan started his career at The Daily Show as a production assistant. Since then, he has worked his way up through the ranks, becoming a producer, a staff writer, and ultimately the head writer. Alongside fellow television writer Brock Mahan, Kalan was instrumental in the formation of the comedy group The Hypocrites.
