Greg Proops Bio, Life, and Career:

Greg Proops was born to Steven and Doris Proops on October 3, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended “San Mateo Junior College” after growing up in the San Carlos area to the south of San Francisco. At San Francisco State University in the late ’70s, he majored in improv and acting. Together with Forrest Brakeman, he performed his first stand-up act at the ‘Holy City Zoo’ in 1982; he went on to do similar shows at a number of smaller venues.
