Jay Mariotti Bio, Life, and Career:

Jay Mariotti is an American sports journalist and commentator who currently serves as the host of the podcast Unmuted, which focuses on topics related to sports. Mariotti was born on June 22, 1959. Before that, he was a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times for a total of 17 years and a regular guest on the Around the Horn panel of the ESPN sports talk show for a period of eight years. On June 22, 1959, Mariotti was born in the city of Pittsburgh, in the state of Pennsylvania. He spent his childhood in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.

Following graduation from high school, he went on to study journalism at Ohio University, where he served as the sports editor of the university’s newspaper.
