Joe Tasker Bio, Life, and Career:

Joe Tasker was a British climber who was active throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was born on May 12, 1948, and passed away on May 17, 1982. He passed away while attempting to scale Mount Everest. Tasker was the second of ten children and spent his early childhood in Port Clarence, which is located in the city of Middlesbrough. He was born into a Roman Catholic family in 1948.

After some time, the family relocated to Billingham, and at some point during that time, Joe began his studies at Ushaw Seminary in County Durham, with the intention of eventually becoming a Catholic priest. After leaving the seminary, he first found work as a dustman before enrolling in the sociology program at Manchester University.
