Born Kathryn Ann Sackhoff on April 8, 1980, in Portland, Oregon, to Dennis and Mary Sackhoff, Katee Sackhoff is an American actress. Mary Sackhoff is an ESL coordinator, and her husband, Dennis, is a real estate developer. Brother Erick Sackhoff, her older sibling, runs a Portland-area business specializing in car modifications. She attended and completed high school at Beaverton, Oregon’s “Sunset High School” in 1998. She developed an early love for swimming due to her early interest in sports, but she was unable to continue the sport after suffering a right knee injury.

She turned to yoga as a means of healing from her wound, and she remains a dedicated practitioner.
