Kellan Lutz Bio, Life, and Career:
Kellan Lutz is a well-known model and actor in the United States. Since 2004, he has been working in the industry, and he is currently considered one of the most promising stars in contemporary Hollywood. Lutz began his career as a model when he was still a student in high school. He made a seamless transition from modeling in local catalogs to appearing in photos directed by Bruce Weber for Abercrombie & Fitch.
After he graduated from high school, he found that he had a growing interest in acting, and he quickly came to the conclusion that he wanted to pursue acting as a vocation. His first appearance on screen was as a contestant in the 2004 season of the reality television series Model Citizens. In the same year, he debuted in the acting world on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as one of its cast members.
Kellan Lutz was able to accumulate invaluable experience thanks to the consistent stream of assignments that came his way. It wasn’t until 2006 that he made his debut in his first feature picture, the comedy-drama Stick It. However, it took him an additional two years before he was cast in the breakout role of Emmett Cullen in the film series based on the Twilight Saga.
Since then, Kellan Lutz has portrayed Poseidon in the epic fantasy picture Immortals, given the voice for the main character in the animated film Tarzan, and co-starred in the action-adventure The Expendables 3 alongside Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Brandon, Tanner, David, Daniel, and Brad in addition to Chris and Brad are his six brothers.
Brittany is his other sibling, and she is his sister. Lutz had a very active upbringing as a result of his huge family when he was growing up. They relocated quite frequently, so he spent his formative years in North Dakota, the Midwest, and Arizona, among other places. After completing his high school education at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, he moved to California and enrolled in the chemical engineering program at Chapman University in Orange, California.
Kellan Lutz gave serious consideration to enlisting in the Navy Seals at one point. But in the end, he decided to forego his college education in order to pursue a career in acting instead. He was aware, even back then, that he was engaging in a dangerous gamble; yet, he had a sufficient amount of faith in his own capabilities, and this provided the motivation he needed to work up the guts to make such a move.
After graduating from high school, Kellan Lutz had already established himself as a successful model. It ultimately resulted in his making recurrent appearances on the show Model Citizens on PAX TV. His confidence in himself and his drive lead him to make his acting debut in 2004 on an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS. Since then, he has continued to pursue a career in acting.
After this, he had a supporting part in the television series CSI: NY. In 2005, he was cast in the part of Chris MacNess, a recurrent character, in the comedy-drama The Comeback, which was directed by Lisa Kudrow. In the same year, he appeared in episodes of the drama series Summerland on the WB and the dark comedy series Six Feet Under on HBO.
Stick It, which was released in 2006, marked Kellan Lutz’s first appearance in a major motion picture. In the same year, he also starred in the film Accepted, which was directed by Steve Pink. In 2007, he starred in the movie Ghosts of Goldfield, which was released on direct-to-video, and he also made guest appearances on the television shows CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Heroes, both of which are quite popular.
In the 2008 television miniseries Generation Kill, which consisted of seven episodes, he played the role of Corporal Jason Lilley. In 2009, the series was up for 11 Primetime Emmy Awards, and it ended up taking home three of them. In 2008, Lutz joined the cast of the CW’s adolescent drama 90210 as a regular cast member.
In the years that followed, he was cast in roles that allowed him to represent a wide range of personalities. In After Dusk, They Come (2009), he portrayed a young man who was stranded on an uncharted island. In A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), he portrayed a teenager who was suffering from extreme sleep deprivation. He also portrayed a star lacrosse player in A Warrior’s Heart; a newlywed in Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011); and a firefighter and paramedic in Arena (2011).
The epic fantasy picture Immortals, which was released in 2011 and featured him in the role of Poseidon alongside Luke Evans’ portrayal of Zeus and Henry Cavill’s performance as Theseus, was a commercial success despite receiving negative reviews from film critics.
Sneaky Pete was the name of the role that he played in the movie Syrup, which was released in 2013 and was based on Max Barry’s novel of the same name. His debut feature-length animated work was the 2013 German-language production Tarzan, which was in English.
