Laura Krantz Bio, Life, and Career:

Laura Krantz is a journalist, podcaster, and author from the United States. She was born in 1978. She is a founding partner of the media company Foxtopus Ink, she is the host of the podcast Wild Thing, she worked as an editor for National Public Radio for ten years, she has a series of illustrated children’s books based on the podcast, and she has a series of illustrated children’s books based on the podcast. Her work has received a significant amount of coverage in the media, including in publications such as the Los Angeles Times, FOX, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post. She received her degree from Whitman College in the year 2000. The podcast known as Krantz’s Wild Thing currently has three seasons as of the year 2022.

And hands down, the story I absolutely had to include came from a guy named John Mionczynski. He is the quintessential mountain man, someone who is extremely knowledgeable about nature and the creatures in it. And when he told me about his possible run-in with a Bigfoot, I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

The first episode of the first season, which aired in 2018, begins with Krantz’s surprising discovery that she is related to anthropologist Grover Krantz, who was one of the world’s foremost experts on the cryptozoological creature Bigfoot. This episode also marks the beginning of the first season of the show.

She began the podcast as a hesitant attempt to understand the cultural fascination with Sasquatch, as well as how the creature may have developed over time and the various attempts to locate it. Subsequent seasons of the show investigated the likelihood of life on other planets and the practicability of utilizing nuclear power.
