Logic Bio, Life, and Career:
Logic is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and music producer. He was born Robert Bryson Hall, although he is best known by his stage name, Logic. As a result of coming from a dysfunctional household, he had some difficult experiences growing up. As he was growing up, he observed his brothers dealing drugs, his father purchasing those narcotics, and his mother, who was an alcoholic, as well as his sisters, being beaten by guys.
However, even at that age, he sought to see the bright side of the situation and used those experiences as a learning tool to help him avoid making the same mistakes in his own life. At the age of 17, he ran away from home and obtained two different odd jobs in order to get away from his abusive mother. He was able to relieve his stress through music, and he began to express himself through rapping.
He does not shy away from writing about his experiences in his songs, which makes the majority of his songs incredibly personal; nevertheless, he does not celebrate his troubled childhood in any of his songs. Even if hip-hop is not his preferred genre of music, the vocal jazz style of Frank Sinatra has had a significant impact on him. Another significant figure in his life who has influenced him greatly is Quentin Tarantino. His mixtapes “Young, Broke, and Infamous” and the “Young Sinatra” trilogy were the vehicles via which he achieved widespread notoriety.
Both of his studio albums, “Under Pressure” and “The Incredible True Story,” have been met with praise from music critics and have sold well in the marketplace. His youth was marred by the fact that both of his parents struggled with substance abuse and alcoholism. In addition to this, his brothers were both drug traffickers, and they were the ones who showed him how to manufacture crack cocaine. The family had made their home in the West Deer Park community, which had almost one in four residents living at or below the federal poverty level.
Both marijuana and cigarettes were problematic for him when he was younger, and he started smoking marijuana at an early age. However, since that time, he has stopped using marijuana and alcohol (with the exception of an occasional glass of champagne), but he is still having trouble kicking the habit of smoking cigarettes.
He went to Gaithersburg High School, which is located in his area, but he was kicked out of there before he could finish his education there and graduate. According to him, the reason he was kicked out of school was that he began skipping classes and performing poorly in a wide variety of subjects.2009 marked the beginning of Robert Bryson Hall’s career as a theatrical performer who goes by the stage name “Psychological.”
He began performing opening performances for established artists such as Pitbull, EPMD, Method Man, Redman, and Ludacris shortly after the release of his first unofficial mixtape, which was titled “Psychological – Logic: The Mixtape.”
His debut official mixtape, titled “Young, Broke & Infamous,” was published on December 15, 2010, and it helped to establish him as a promising young rapper. Positive reviews were received for the mixtape. Because of how well it did, he was able to get a record deal with the indie company known as “Visionary Music Group.” More than 250,000 people have downloaded the mixtape from the website.
In 2011, he released ‘Young Sinatra,’ his second mixtape, which was also the first installment of his ‘Young Sinatra’ trilogy. It was a critical success, and as a result, he was featured in a number of other magazines.
His third mixtape, titled “Young Sinatra: Undeniable,” was published on April 30, 2012. On this mixtape, he went in a more personal direction, mentioning in his lyrics events such as his expulsion from school, his father’s addiction, and his mother getting stabbed. He stated that he desired to write lyrics for individuals who were concerned about what they had to say. The ‘Visionary Music Group Tour’, which he headlined for the first time, helped him promote the record.
In May of 2013, he issued his fourth mixtape, titled “Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever,” and he promoted it with a headlining national tour that lasted for two months and was called the “Welcome to Forever Tour.” Fans and reviewers alike lauded him for his versatility, and more than 700,000 people downloaded the mixtape from its digital distribution platform.
On October 21, 2014, he released his first studio album, titled “Under Pressure,” following the signing of a record deal with the record label Def Jam Recordings. In spite of the fact that he had spent the previous two years working on the album, it was produced in just two weeks and featured the critically acclaimed hits “Under Pressure” and “Buried Alive.” Following the critical and commercial success of the album, he made his debut on television on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where he sang the song “I’m Gone.”
