Mark Moseley is a former placekicker for the National Football League (NFL) for the United States. He was a straight-on kicker. During his career as a football player, he played for four different teams, including the Cleveland Browns, the Washington Redskins, the Houston Oilers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. As a result of his flawless performance during the 1982 season, which was cut short due to a player’s strike, he was named the Most Valuable Player by the Associated Press of the National Football League.
Moseley got his start in football as a quarterback during his time at Livingston High School in Livingston, Texas, where he grew up. After graduating high school, he changed positions and is now a placekicker for the Stephen F. Austin State University football team. During the 1970 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles chose him in the 346th and final spot overall. Moseley called his quits in 1986 after establishing himself throughout the years as one of the most accomplished placekickers.

In his private life, he is the father of five children and the grandfather of thirteen. During the National Football League Draft that took place in 1970, the Philadelphia Eagles chose Mark Moseley. Moseley was the only full-time straight-on placekicker in the NFL after Rick Danmeier retired in 1982, making him the only one of his kind in the league.
He went on to win the NFL Most Valuable Player title after kicking 20 of 21 field goals during the 1982 season, which was cut short due to a player strike. Moseley kicked two – goals during the Washington Redskins’ victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII. The game was won by the Redskins.
During the season that followed, he led his club in scoring with 161 points. In 1986, the Redskins cut him go in the middle of the season. He currently holds the record with 1,207 points, making him their all-time leading scorer. As a token of appreciation for the significant role he played in the success of the Washington Redskins, the organization honored him by inducting him into its Ring of Fame.
Also in 1986, the Cleveland Browns signed Moseley with the understanding that he would retire at the end of the season. He was a contributing factor in the team’s victory over the New York Jets in the divisional playoff game.At the moment, Moseley is working for the restaurant chain Five Guys as the Director of Franchising for the company.
