Raven Bio, Life and Career:

Scott Levy, his given name, has won the ECW World Heavyweight Title twice and the ECW World Tag Team Title four times. Raven (real name: Scott Levy; born September 8, 1964) is a semi-retired American professional wrestler, actor, and podcaster. Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling are just some of the professional wrestling promotions he has appeared for (TNA). Raven’s “psychological heel tactics” and grunge-inspired costume have made him well-known as “one of the top talkers in wrestling.” One of the “most passionate rivalries in professional wrestling’s history” occurred between him and The Sandman in the mid-1990s.

From 2007 till 2013, he was married to Selina Kyle. Born to Paul F. Levy, senior editor of The National Enquirer and a journalist, and his wife, Levy is of Jewish origin. In 1982, he received his diploma from Lake Worth Community High School. In pursuit of a career in police enforcement, he enrolled at the University of Delaware. He enrolled in the Marine Corps Reserve during his spare semester.

Levy began his professional wrestling career on February 20, 1988, against Jimmy Jack Funk, after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in criminal justice and training at the Monster Factory in New Jersey under Larry Sharpe.

After that, Levy went to Canada to wrestle for the promotion All-Star Wrestling out of Vancouver, British Columbia for a short time before parting ways with owner Al Tomko. His next stop after his return to the States was Portland, Oregon, where he signed with Pacific Northwest Wrestling. For the next three years, he would become one of the show’s most prominent villains by amassing a title haul, feuding extensively with Steve Doll, and defeating his opponents. Taylor Made, his PNW manager, is responsible for his professional and personal development. Following a temporary retirement from competition, he returned to PNW as a face and immediately began feuding with The Grappler. Under the costume of “Matman,” a Batman parody who linked up with Beetlejuice that summer of 1989, Levy made several public appearances.

In October 1990, Levy appeared on WWF Prime Time Wrestling as Scotty the Body and wrestled a losing match against Koko B. Ware. Levy started working for WCW in 1992. (WCW). Scotty Flamingo was his ring name, and his gimmick was that he was a surfer from Florida who brought his surfboard to the ring with him. J.T. Southern was his first manager. Levy wrestled in the World Championship Wrestling’s (WCW) light heavyweight division and defeated Brian Pillman for the title at June 20, 1992’s Beach Blast. He remained the champion until losing to Brad Armstrong on July 5, 1992.

Both the raven and the crow share traits of being highly intelligent and lively. Ravens can mimic the sounds of other birds and have at least seven distinct calls of their own (geese, jays, crows). In addition, they do daring aerial maneuvers to impress potential partners.

Before joining the WWF as manager “Johnny Polo,” a spoilt, privileged preppy guy, Levy wrestled for the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the United States Wrestling Association (USWA). He debuted on the May 24 episode of WWF Raw, where he was paired with Adam Bomb. After four months as Bomb’s manager, Harvey Wippleman took over. In September, he took over as manager of The Quebecers, a tag team he guided to three consecutive title runs in the World Wrestling Federation.

Besides his managerial duties, Polo also competed in tag team and singles bouts, going up against the likes of Jim Powers, Virgil, Rick Steiner, Marty Jannetty, Doink the Clown, 1-2-3 Kid, Owen Hart, and Pierre Oullette. Polo was not only a co-host and color commentator on Radio WWF but also an associate producer for Monday Night Raw. After a bout against Adam Bomb on October 2, 1994, in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Levy announced his departure from the company. On October 21 during a home show in Montreal, Quebec, he managed Pierre Oullette in a match against Jacques Rougeau.

Although Dreamer was once again defeated by Raven at December to Dismember on December 9, 1995, Dreamer, The Pitbulls, and The Public Enemy won a cage match against Raven, Richards, The Eliminators, and The Heavenly Bodies thanks to a pin from Dreamer on Richards. After defeating Dreamer at Holiday Hell on December 30, 1995, Raven became the number one contender for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and later that night challenged the reigning champion, The Sandman, but was beaten. The Dudley Brothers also left Raven’s Nest after an altercation with Richards, which occurred at the same event.

In the buildup to the bout, Raven spoke on his grievance with Dreamer, accusing him of abandoning him during his parents’ divorce. Dreamer strongly refuted this claim. The night of January 5, 1996, during House Party, Richards made an effort to kiss McGillicutty, who rejected and later revealed she was pregnant. Raven attacked Richards after she approached McGillicutty and learned that he was not the father. Finally, McGillicutty let out that Tommy Dreamer was the father, prompting Dreamer to attack the ring and take down Raven, Richards, and The Blue Meanie before running up to embrace Beulah.
