Reggie Osse Bio, Life, and Career:

Reginald Joseph Ossé better known by his stage name Combat Jack, was a Haitian-American hip-hop music attorney, executive, journalist, editor, and podcaster. He was born on July 8, 1969, and passed away on December 20, 2017. He was given the name Combat Jack. He had previously held the position of managing editor at The Source. In addition to being a founding partner of the Loud Speakers Network, he was the host of the podcast known as The Combat Jack Show. In addition to that, he hosted the television show adaptation of the Combat Jack Show podcast that was broadcast on Complex. Ossé was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 8, 1969, and received his degree from Cornell University.

He is a member of the first generation of Haitian Americans. While he was there at the university, he joined the Kappa Xi chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity and became a member. In later years, he studied law at Georgetown University Law Center and graduated with a degree in the field. Beginning in 1989 with an internship in legal affairs for Def Jam Recordings he went on to represent a number of well-known hip-hop producers and entertainers, including Jay-Z, Damon Dash, Roc-a-fella Records, DJ Clark Kent, Nice & Smooth, Capone-N-Noreaga, Deric “D. His clients included Jay-Z, Damon Dash, and Roc-a- He retired after practicing law in the music industry for a total of twelve years before going on to write Bling, a book that details the history of hip-hop and its preoccupation with bling. In addition to that, he worked for MTV Networks as the Vice President of Audio/Music DVD and, later on, as the Managing Editor of The Source.
