Shane Gillis Bio, Life, and Career:

Shane Gillis is a stand-up comedian, radio presenter, sketch comedy writer, and podcaster from the United States of America. He was born on December 11, 1987. Alongside fellow stand-up comic Matt McCusker, he is one of the hosts of the podcast titled “Matt and Shane’s Secret.” At the 2019 edition of the Just for Laughs comedy festival held in Montreal, Gillis was recognized as one of the “New Faces” by the organization.

After being announced as a new cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in 2019, Gillis was fired from the show four days later due to backlash from clips of a 2018 episode of a podcast featuring jokes that contained racial slurs. The podcast in question was hosted by a comedian who goes by the name “Weekend Update,” and the episode in question aired in 2018. In the year 2021, Gillis uploaded his debut stand-up comedy special to YouTube under the title Shane Gillis: Live in Austin.

Additionally, Gillis is well-known for his work with director John McKeever on the web series Gilly & Keeves, which the two of them created together.
