Siggy Flicker Bio, Life, and Career:

Siggy Flicker is an Israeli American relationship specialist, matchmaker, and television personality. She was born on June 1, 1967, and her maiden name was Paldiel. She is also the author of the book “Write Your Own Fairy Tale: The New Rules for Dating, Relationships, and Finding Love on Your Terms.”  She was a cast member on the reality television show Why Am I Still Single?! which aired on VH1. She also participated in the seventh and eighth seasons of Bravo’s reality television show titled The Real Housewives of New Jersey as a cast member. Flicker was raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, after coming to the United States when he was five years old.

Flicker was born in Israel to Jewish parents[and moved to the Middle East when he was five years old.  Her ancestry may be traced back to both Europe and Iraq. Her mother gave her the name Sigalit, which is derived from the Hebrew word for the color violet.  She received her diploma from Cherry Hill High School West and then went on to study at Monmouth University.  While working as a server at a TGI Friday’s, she attended college full-time to study communications and eventually received a Bachelor of Arts degree in the subject. Flicker had been working as a matchmaker for more than 20 years as of 2011 and had made multiple appearances on national television programs in which she offered love advice.

She went on to play the role of his matchmaker following the amicable dissolution of her marriage to her husband of ten years.  Subsequently, when she remarried, her previous spouse was invited to participate in the ceremony as the best man. The relationship counseling book was authored by Flicker and published by New American Library in September 2015 under the title Write Your Own Fairy Tale. During the same year, she became a member of the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey for both the seventh and eighth seasons. Flicker made the announcement that she would be leaving the show on December 22nd, 2017.

Alongside Clare Galterio and Sammi Giancola, Flicker was also the co-host of a weekly podcast titled “Just Sayin.”Flicker has been a guest on a variety of television shows, such as The Wendy Williams Show, Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, and others. In each episode, there were two clients—a guy and a woman—who were having difficulties in their romantic relationships.

Flicker arranged for each of her clients to go on a test date with one of her recruiters, but the clients were never told who they would be dating. She then followed the date covertly via a remote camera in order to evaluate the problems that they were having.  Afterward, she provided each customer with dating advice with the hopes of enhancing their behavior in romantic relationships. She tied the knot with Mark Flicker in 1997, and the couple now shares two children.
