Bandokay Bio, Life, and Career:
Kemani Kane Duggan is a British rapper who was born on May 9, 2001. Professionally, he is known as Bandokay (previously styled as BandoKay), and his birthday is May 9. He is a member of the drill group OFB, which is based in the UK. Bandokay began his career in 2018 alongside fellow OFB rappers FJ and Triple Lz, then in 2019, after the release of Frontstreet, he rose to fame.
The follow-up album, titled Drill Commandments, was issued in 2021 after the mixtape, which reached its highest position on the UK Albums Chart at number 36. Kemani Kane Duggan was born on May 9th, 2001 in the neighborhood of Tottenham, which is located in London, England. Mark Duggan, who was killed by police in 2011, is the man’s father. This man is his son.
When Duggan’s father passed away, one of his father’s friends, Marcus Knox-Hooke, took care of him after his father’s passing. This would motivate Knox-Hooke to launch a program in Tottenham aimed at protecting vulnerable children and teenagers. After some time had passed, Duggan enrolled in secondary school. Unfortunately, he was expelled just three months after starting classes owing to his inability to manage his behavior.
Bandokay mentioned in a video from 2022 that showcased his everyday life that Kash, a member of OFB, was the primary reason that he would take a career in music seriously; according to Bandokay, Kash would call him in order to write songs. The video was a showcase of Bandokay’s life at the time.
Bandokay kicked off his career as a musician at the beginning of 2018 by participating in the recording of the song “Bruck It” alongside Kash, Ys, Double Lz, and Boogie B.[source: missing citation] In the latter half of 2018, he participated in the release of “Bad B on the Nizz” alongside Double Lz and SJ.
According to an interview with Complex Networks, the song received one million views in just seven days. During the same interview, Double Lz mentioned that he and Bandokay had collaborated on their very first song in 2017, but the song was never made available to the public. The three would initially go by the moniker Y.OFB (which stands for “Young OFB”) for a period of time; the “Y.” prefix, however, would be dropped in 2019.
The band announced the release of their first mixtape, titled Frontstreet, on November 14, 2019. The mixtape reached its highest position on the UK Albums Chart at number 36. The British Phonographic Industry recognized “Ambush” as having achieved the status of silver after listening it. The song was included on the mixtape.
After the release of Frontstreet, Bandokay would go on to make an appearance on Kenny Allstar’s Mad About Bars freestyle series in 2019 and then would go on to release “Lightwork Freestyle” in 2020; both of these projects included Double Lz. It wasn’t until 2020 that he collaborated with Double Lz on the song “OT Bopping,” which ultimately achieved number 91 on the UK Singles Chart.
Complex Networks ranked Bandokay as one of the top 20 British MCs to watch in the upcoming year, and the list was published at the beginning of 2020.
Bandokay would appear alongside Double Lz on iLL BLU’s “Magic” and on “War” by Mastermind in March of 2020. These songs would reach number 46 and number 39, respectively, on the UK Singles Chart. He would then release “Patient”, which would reach its highest position at number 92, in the month of May.
Bandokay would make an appearance on Deno’s “Circles” in July, which also featured Double Lz; the song reached its highest position at number 36. Bandokay would go on to release “BLM” with Double Lz and Abra Cadabra in October, which reached its highest position at number 63. During an interview in the year 2020 with Vice pertaining to “BLM,” Double Lz and Bandokay dropped hints that they were working on another mixtape, which would contain guest appearances from Loski, Abra Cadabra, and other artists.
Drill Commandments was the name given to the mixtape that was distributed by the two on March 19, 2021; it reached its highest position on the UK Albums Chart at number 53.
