Mandy Rose Bio, Life, and Career:
Amanda Rose Saccomanno is a well-known American professional wrestler, television personality, and competitor in the fitness and figure categories. She was born on July 18, 1990. Her career in WWE, during which she used the ring name Mandy Rose and during which she won the NXT Women’s Championship and was the leader of Toxic Attraction, is mostly responsible for her widespread notoriety.
2013 was Rose’s debut in the world of professional fitness competitions, and the following year she entered the world of bodybuilding competitions. After finishing in second place in the 2015 season of WWE’s Tough Enough competition, she went on to acquire a contract with the company and become a cast member on the reality television show Total Divas. Rose made her debut on the main roster of WWE in November 2017, not long after completing a brief run in WWE’s developmental area, NXT.
Alongside Paige and Sonya Deville, Rose was a member of the abortive group Absolution. Rose and Deville were commonly referred to as “Fire and Desire” throughout the roughly three years that they spent competing together. WrestleMania 36 in March 2020 marked the end of their partnership, which was preceded by a long-running rivalry between the two that eventually led to a Loser Leaves WWE match, which Rose won. In 2021, following a brief affiliation with Dana Brooke, she returned to NXT and, along with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, established an alliance that was later dubbed “Toxic Attraction.”
At the Halloween Havoc event in October, Rose prevailed against Raquel González to capture the first title of her professional wrestling career, the NXT Women’s Championship. In December 2022, she was terminated from her position with the corporation. Amanda Rose Saccomanno was born in a town located in Westchester County, New York, which is a suburb of New York City. Richard, the eldest kid in their family of four, passed away on October 3, 2022, after a prolonged battle with depression that began several years earlier.
She was the youngest and only daughter in the family. She hails from Ireland and has Italian roots in her family tree. When she was younger, her friends called her “Hamburgers.” She graduated from Yorktown High School, where she was a member of the school’s dance team. Later on, she attended Iona College and majored in speech pathology in order to acquire her bachelor’s degree there. She participated in her first fitness competition in 2013, which was the World Bodybuilding Fitness & Fashion Show, and she ended up winning first place.
In addition to that, she won the title of World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Bikini Champion in 2014. Saccomanno competed in the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough, which began broadcasting in June 2015 and featured competitors from around the world. During the show that aired on July 28, she was in danger of being eliminated, but Judge The Miz came to her rescue. In the last episode of the season, she competed under the ring name Mandy Rose, however, she was defeated by Alicia Fox and ended up coming in second place overall, behind the victors Sara Lee and Josh Bredl.
It was revealed at the conclusion of the Tough Enough season that Rose had signed a five-year contract with the corporation after the finale of the show. On January 30, 2016, Rose made her ring debut for WWE’s developmental territory, NXT, during a six-woman tag team match at a live event in Venice, Florida. The event was hosted by Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). On the edition of NXT that aired on August 17, Rose made her first appearance on the show competing in a six-woman tag team match alongside Daria Berenato and Alexa Bliss.
Unfortunately, the match was won by Carmella, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Glencross. Ember Moon defeated Rose in her first-ever televised singles bout, which took place on the episode of NXT that aired on September 28. During the episode of Raw that aired on November 20, 2017, Rose teamed up with Sonya Deville and Paige to launch an assault against Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, and Alexa Bliss. After a week, the band’s moniker, Absolution, was disclosed to the public.
On January 28, 2018, at the Royal Rumble, Rose competed in the first women’s Royal Rumble match. She was ranked number 4, and Lita removed her from the competition as the first woman to be eliminated. Back in the month of February, Rose competed in the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match. Bliss emerged victorious in this encounter. During WrestleMania 34, Rose competed in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, which eventually went to Naomi and was won by her.
During the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-up, both Rose and Deville were selected for SmackDown, and Paige, who had previously been the general manager of Raw before retiring and becoming the general manager of SmackDown, subsequently announced that Absolution had been disbanded. After that, Rose and Deville continued to compete against each other in a variety of tag team matchups. In October, during the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view event, Evolution, Rose eliminated Deville before she herself was eliminated by Carmella in a battle royal.
In November, during Survivor Series, Rose was a member of Team SmackDown and competed in her first-ever traditional five-on-five elimination match, which Team SmackDown ultimately lost. Later on, Rose and Naomi got into a fight because Rose flirted with Naomi’s husband, Jimmy Uso, in an attempt to “ruin Naomi’s life.” This included Rose giving Jimmy Uso the impression that she was about to kiss him, and Naomi attacking Rose in a hotel room that Rose had invited Jimmy Uso to.
The competition between Rose and Naomi continued as they eliminated each other from the women’s Royal Rumble match at the namesake event in January 2019, where Rose managed to last for 25:50 minutes. Naomi was eliminated first. In the month of February, the two of them traded triumphs over one another.
