Whitney Chitwood Bio, Life, and Career:

Whitney Chitwood hails from Chicago, where she does stand-up comedy. Her first studio album, titled The Bakery Case and released by Stand Up! Records in 2019, was produced by Dan Schlissel, who won a Grammy. It climbed all the way to number nine on the Billboard Comedy Albums chart and it topped the comedy rankings on both iTunes and Amazon.  Chitwood spent his childhood in a rural community in Illinois, not far from Peoria. Chitwood’s childhood was highly influenced by the world of stage theatre; both of her parents had theatres, and she spent a significant portion of her childhood in and around the stage, in addition to spending time on her grandfather’s farm.

When she was only six months old, she made her debut at the theatre.  She majored in theatre at college but dropped out early to pursue a career in acting in New York City. When she was 21 years old, she made the decision to focus on stand-up comedy instead. Before making her permanent home in Chicago, she was a stand-up comedian in New York and Los Angeles. The album was praised by a reviewer who wrote for the comedy website The Interrobang.
