Corey Stoll Bio, Life and Career:

Actor Corey Stoll was born in the United States on March 14, 1976. His most well-known performances are Dr. Ephraim Goodweather on the FX horror drama series The Strain and Congressman Peter Russo on the Netflix political thriller series House of Cards, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2013. (2014–2017). He has played Michael Prince, Bobby Axelrod’s financial competitor, on the Showtime series Billions since 2020. He also played the role of Darren Cross/Yellowjacket in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man from 2010 to 2011. He was a regular cast member on the NBC drama series Law & Order: LA from 2010 to 2011. Other noteworthy performances include an off-Broadway production of Intimate Appare, Ernest Hemingway in the love story Midnight in Paris , for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, bulldog prosecutor Fred Wyshak in Black Mass, astronaut Buzz Aldrin in the biopic First Man, and Junior Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark. The son of Judith and Stephen Stoll, Corey Stoll was born on Manhattan’s Upper West Side in New York City.

The Beacon School was co-founded by his father. Stoll was a Jew growing up.  From 1988 to 1992, he studied theatre at Long Lake Camp for the Arts, and he is a Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts drama alumnus. He completed the Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2003 after graduating from Oberlin College in 1998. In 2004, Stoll was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his performance in Intimate Apparel starring Tony and Oscar winner Viola Davis. He later made appearances in a number of movies, such as Push, North Country, Lucky Number Slevin, and the television movie A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story. He showed up in Helena from the Wedding and Salt in 2010. Kang has previously appeared in an MCU episode. He appears in Loki as He Who Remains even though he didn’t use that name. As a consequence, based on the trailer, the character’s genuine name and appearance in his traditional garb should be the only debuts in the film. The clip also reveals that Kang is not engaged in combat with Ant-Man and his allies. Kang requests assistance from Ant-Man in the teaser instead.

Kang wants Scott Lang to bring him a stolen item, according to claims from the San Diego Comic-Con original trailer. Although the nature of that is yet unclear, speculation is that M.O.D.O.K. may be the culprit. That suggests that M.O.D.O.K. may make his villain debut in the next MCU film, which may be even more significant than introducing Kang. There are aspects of M.O.D.O.K. that should thrill fans, even though Kang will become more significant in the future. However, who would be playing M.O.D.O.K. as a villain in Quantumania was the greatest Ant-Man 3 narrative development. Since Corey Stoll plays M.O.D.O.K., one significant development for the film is likely to occur: Ant-Man and Hank Pym will probably engage their initial antagonist once again. Darren Cross was portrayed by Stoll in the first Ant-Man film. Scott had to transform into Ant-Man in order to preserve Pym Industries from his hostile takeover and prevent terrorists from obtaining the Pym Particles.

NBC’s Law & Order: LA featured Stoll as LAPD Detective Tomas Jaruszalski. In the Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris from 2011, he portrayed Ernest Hemingway. For the part, Stoll, who is mostly bald, donned a special wig. In 2013, Stoll’s portrayal in the Netflix series House of Cards earned him a Golden Globe nomination. After leaving House of Cards, he appeared in the FX horror series The Strain, which was adapted from a book series by Chuck Hogan and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. At the film’s conclusion, Cross shrank into what seemed to be nothingness and transformed into Yellowjacket. His outfit shrunk around him, crushing his body in the process. It seems he wound himself in the Quantum Realm, however. Cross will become the MCU’s M.O.D.O.K after receiving the new cybernetic body to let him move about after having his body most likely destroyed. That implies that he will have resentment for Hank and Ant-Man that no other enemy could. A last appearance by Scott’s original antagonist would be the ideal way to conclude his Ant-Man trilogy.

In 2014, Stoll also portrayed Paul Altman in the comedy-drama This Is Where I Leave You and Austin Reilly, an NYPD police officer, in the action movie Non-Stop. 2015 saw Stoll take on the part of Ben Day in the Gillian Flynn adaptation Dark Places and portray the villainous Darren Cross in the superhero movie Ant-Man, who was subsequently recast as Yellowjacket.  He worked with Woody Allen once again the following year, appearing as the mobster Ben Dorfman in Café Society. He also appeared in the Public Theater’s outdoor performance of Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare in the summer of 2016 as the cunning Greek warrior Ulysses. It was revealed that Stoll will return in the Netflix drama series Ratched in January 2019. He has played Michael Prince, Bobby Axelrod’s business nemesis, on the Showtime series Billions since 2020.
