Easton Corbin Bio, Life, and Career:

Easton Corbin was born and reared in a rural part of Gilchrist County, Florida, and he recalled having the desire to become a country singer when he was just three or four years old. After his parents divorced, he spent a lot of time at his grandparent’s cattle farm. In addition to assisting his grandparents on the farm and participating in the local FFA and 4-H chapters, Corbin became obsessed with the many Opry television programs that were broadcast on Saturday evenings.

He also spent time perusing the record collection that belonged to his grandpa, which contained some titles that had been passed down to him by his father and his aunts. When Corbin was 15 years old, he started studying guitar under the tutelage of Pee Wee Melton, a veteran musician who had previously worked as a session guitarist in Nashville. Soon after that, he was playing lead guitar for a local band while also polishing his skills as a solo performer. After a fortuitous audition at a small music shop, he was offered a solo place on stage at the adjacent Suwannee River Jam event. Soon after, he was able to get opening gigs for major performers such as Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.

Corbin got married and relocated to Nashville in 2006 with the intention of pursuing a career as a professional country singer. Prior to that, he had graduated from the College of Agriculture at the University of Florida with a degree in management. Corbin was quickly signed to Universal Music Group Nashville’s Mercury Nashville label in 2009 after he drew the attention of booking agent James Yelich and Joe Fisher, the Senior Director of A&R for Universal Music Group Nashville.

The following month, in August of the same year, he released a four-song EP under the same title as his first single, “A Little More Country Than That,” which he had produced in collaboration with Carson Chamberlain. His debut single was titled “A Little More Country Than That.” Both of these albums prepared the way for his first studio album, Easton Corbin, which was released in 2010. Before the album’s release, the song “A Little More Country Than That” was already at the top of the country charts, and shortly afterward, “Roll with It” also reached the top spot.

After that, in 2012, Corbin released an album titled “All Over the Road,” which was again produced by Chamberlain. This album yielded two songs that reached the top ten of the Billboard country music charts: “Lovin’ You Is Fun” and “All Over the Road.” About to Get Real was the third studio album that Corbin released, and it was released in 2015. This album includes the songs “Clockwork” and “Baby Be My Love Song.” In 2017, Corbin made his comeback with the release of “A Girl Like You,” the first song off of his fourth studio album.

Since more than a decade ago, Easton Corbin has been captivating audiences with his distinctive combination of classic and contemporary country music as well as his unforgettable baritone. The musician, who was born in Florida and already has two songs, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” at the top of the country charts, is starting a new chapter in his musical career after just signing with Stone Country Records. As the main artist for the label, Corbin collaborates with seasoned pros from the business like Benny Brown, Paul Brown, and Jason Sellers.

Benny Brown, a staple on Music Row, and East Tennessee native Easton Corbin met for the first time, according to Corbin, and connected over their shared love of classic country music. Before joining the indie label, Corbin collaborated with Sellers on the composition of music, proving that he is no new to the writer’s room. The singer asserts that he is in an excellent position to serve as Stone Country’s flagship artist despite the fact that he has been working as an independent artist for a number of years after his almost decade-long tenure with Mercury Nashville.

The singer had this to say about her label: “They let me do what I want to do and let me be myself, which is incredibly essential.” His first song for the label is titled “I Can’t Decide,” and it has the neotraditional feel that Corbin is known for. Along with a fast pace, plucked guitar rhythms, and Corbin’s warm baritone, the up-tempo tune is further accented by soaring pedal steel and ear-grabbing fiddle accompaniment.

Three years ago, Corbin collaborated with renowned songwriters Ashley Gorley and Rhett Akins, as well as producer Wade Kirby, to develop the song “I Can’t Decide.” The singer, who American Songwriter has described as having “one of those rare, gorgeous voices that were built for the singing country,” has been playing the song live ever since he composed it, and he claims that “I Can’t Decide” always gets the attention of the crowd whenever he performs it.

“Right away, I had a feeling that it was something really extraordinary,” he recalls. “It spreads quickly and easily. I like the tune, and I adore the words, and overall, it just strikes me as a smash waiting to happen. Brown, the head of the label, had the same sentiment. Benny is quite active in the process, and “I Can’t Decide” quickly soared to the top of the charts, according to Corbin. Brown is referred to by Corbin as “a song man,” and it was Brown who proposed that the singer form a production company with Kirby and Derek George. Corbin comments on the co-producers Kirby and George, saying that they “provide a new vibe.”

The native of Florida continues to collaborate on writing projects with veteran producer Carson Chamberlain, as well as Gary Kirby, Shane Minor, Adam Craig, and Wyatt McCubbin, with whom he co-wrote the sentimental wedding ballad “Marry That Girl.” According to Corbin, the previous three years have provided him with the opportunity to concentrate more intently on composing music and determining the message that he wants to deliver to fans on his next record.

When he talks about his writing and recording process, he says, “It’s about being honest, and that’s what I strive to go for.” “I maintain one foot firmly planted in the past and one foot firmly planted in the present, and I marry the two.” That has, in all honesty, served as my guiding principle over the years. In addition to this, he has been rather effective in doing so. Corbin has earned seven top 10 singles throughout the course of his career, in addition to three American Country Awards. Corbin was recognized as the Top New Country Artist by Billboard in 2010, and the publication Your Big Sky praised his “unapologetic and unshakeable classic country sound.” Despite this, Corbin has never strayed far from his traditional origins.

His self-titled first album was awarded the Country Breakthrough Record of the Year title by iTunes Rewind Best of 2010, and American Songwriter praised the vocalist for having a “warm, smooth-as-gravy-southern drawl” in their review of the album. Corbin hasn’t lost touch with his humble beginnings along the way. The young man who spent his childhood years hanging around with his grandparents and listening to Merle Haggard and Hank Williams knows exactly where he sprang from.

“I do appreciate traditional country music,” he admits. “I do adore classic country music.” “It was the sound of country music that first captivated me to the genre as a whole. When I was a child, one of the very first albums I ever had was an album by Merle Haggard. The manner in which he performed a song, the feeling he conveyed via his lyrics, and the passion in his voice made him the complete performer. The singer has said that “I Can’t Decide” is only a taste of what is to come as he begins his new chapter with Stone Country Records. Corbin has promised to respect those roots as he moves forward with Stone Country Records.

Concerning the impending endeavor, he had this to say: “I believe it’s a nice balance of the traditional and the new.” It has a decent balance of faster songs, slower songs, and even a few ballads here and there. This song is a wonderful indicator of what’s to come in the future. This is a really unique opportunity, and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

Easton Corbin was born and raised in Gilchrist County, which is located in the state of Florida. Following the breakup of his parent’s marriage, he moved home with his grandparents on the family farm, where he became familiar with country music via the medium of television shows like “Hee Haw.” After beginning guitar lessons with session musician Pee Wee Melton when he was fourteen years old, he formed a band that went on to win opening positions at a music festival and for artists such as Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.
