HARDY Bio, Life, and Career:

Michael Wilson Hardy, who was given the stage name HARDY upon entering the music industry and was born on September 13, 1990, is a country music singer and songwriter from the United States. The artists Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Dallas Smith, Thomas Rhett, and Morgan Wallen have all recorded songs that he has written. Both his debut album, A Rock for Big Loud Records, and his first mixtape, Mixtape, Vol. 1, were published under his name.

In addition to his feature on “Some Things Never Change,” his singles “Give Heaven Some Hell” and “One Beer” have both reached the top of the charts. The Mockingbird & The Crow, his most recent album, debuted at number one on the country music charts at the beginning of 2023. In the town of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Michael Wilson Hardy was born to his parents, Mike and Sarah Hardy.

It was initially because of Hardy’s father that he developed a passion for music. As he was growing up, he and his father would frequently listen to music together, an activity that he has described as being the origin of many of his earliest and most cherished memories. The interest in music grew from then, although becoming a musician did not become one of his primary goals until he was much older.

He received his secondary education from Neshoba Central High School, which is located in Philadelphia, Mississippi. When he was in high school, he wrote his first song with the intention of “impressing a girl.” After that, Hardy went on to further his education at Middle Tennessee State University, where he participated in the Recording Industry Management program and earned a degree in songwriting.

After receiving his diploma, Hardy went to see his sister in Nashville, which ultimately led to the launch of his professional career. While he was there, he had the realization that a career in country music was not impossible to achieve. Hardy first made the acquaintance of the Florida Georgia Line in 2012 at a party. He was brought together with the band by a common friend. Many years later, he was finally able to get back in touch with the group.

This Ole Boy was the name of the extended play that he released in October of 2018, and he promoted it by going on the If I Know Me Tour with Wallen. After this, in 2019, the song “Rednecker” and a second EP titled Where to Find Me were released by the artist. In order to promote the extended play, Hardy went on tour with Florida Georgia Line’s “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country” tour.

In addition, Hardy was a co-writer for the singles “Simple” and “Talk You Out of It” by Florida Georgia Line; “God’s Country” and “Hell Right” by Blake Shelton; “Drop” by Dallas Smith; “I Don’t Know About You” by Chris Lane; and “Some Girls” by Jameson Rodgers, which was Jameson Rodgers’ breakthrough hit.

In September 2019, Hardy released a collaborative mixtape under the name Mixtape, Vol. 1, The mixtape featured a total of 17 artists, including Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, Tracy Lawrence, Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, Joe Diffie, Zakk Wylde, Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, and Morgan Wallen. Other musicians featured on the mixtape include Tracy Lawrence, Jake Owen, and Trace Adkins.

Hardy was scheduled to go on tour with Thomas Rhett in 2020 as part of Rhett’s Center Point Road Tour; however, the tour had to be rescheduled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hardy was looking forward to the tour. Hardy released his first studio album, titled A Rock, in September of the year 2020. The album featured the track “One Beer.” Additionally, he was a featured artist on the single “Some Things Never Change” by Dallas Smith. In June of 2021, he was a featured artist on the track “The Worst Country Song of All Time” which was released by Brantley Gilbert. In July 2021, he was a featured artist on the track “Beers on Me” by Dierks Bentley, which he had also co-written.

After that, in 2021, he went on tour with Sean Stemaly and recorded the mixtape Mixtape Volume 2. A number of talented musicians, including Matt Stell, Jon Pardi, Jimmie Allen, Colt Ford, Randy Houser, Rhett Akins, and Lainey Wilson, contributed to this CD. In the autumn of 2021, Hardy joined Jason Aldean on tour as an additional performer. The “Back in the Saddle” tour was launched in August of 2021 and featured not just Hardy but also Lainey Wilson as a co-headliner.

Morgan Wallen has made public the plans he has for the Dangerous tour that he will be conducting in 2022. The tour will make about fifty stops and will feature Hardy on virtually all of those visits. The trip will make stops in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.

Hardy made the announcement that his album, The Mockingbird & The Crow, would be released on January 20, 2023, via Big Loud Records. The album would feature guest vocals from fellow country singers Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson, as well as the lead singer of A Day to Remember, Jeremy McKinnon. Hardy made the announcement in October 2022.

On October 9, 2022, Hardy published three songs from The Mockingbird & the Crow. These songs were “TRUCK BED,” “Here lies country music,” and “Mockingbird & THE CROW.” The last of these songs represents a clear transition from the Country genre to the Rock genre.
