Tom Brady Bio, Life and Career:

Tom Brady was birth in the United States on August 3, 1977, in San Mateo, California. When Brady was a child, he often went to San Francisco 49ers games to see the renowned quarterback Joe Montana, Brady’s hero and the person to whom he would ultimately be likened, play throughout the 1980s. Montana was Brady’s idol during this time. Brady stood out on the football and baseball teams during his time at the high school. In 1995, he participated in the Major League Baseball draft.

The Montreal Expos selected him, but instead of playing baseball professionally, he opted to enroll in the football program at the University of Michigan. Although Brady became Michigan’s starting quarterback in his junior year, he led the Wolverines to victory in the 1999 Orange Bowl. He earned a reputation as a cerebral and dedicated player who did not possess any extraordinary physical ability. He was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the NFL draft in the year 2000, and during his first season with the team, he put in a lot of effort to bulk up physically while also improving his strength and technique.

Drew Bledsoe, the Patriots’ starting quarterback to start the 2001 season, suffered an injury in the second game of the season, and Tom Brady was picked to fill the role to replace Bledsoe. His performance was not remarkable, but he was reliable, making straightforward moves and committing minimal errors. The Patriots went on to finish the regular season with an 11–3 record with Brady as their starting quarterback, and they went on to defeat the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl,  Brady was voted the Super Bowl MVP for his performance in that game.

During Tom Brady’s first three seasons with the Patriots, the club compiled an astounding record of 40–12, propelling them to the upper echelon of the National Football League (NFL). In 2004, the squad competed in the Super Bowl once again, winning their match against the Carolina Panthers and earning another MVP award. The momentum continued into the next season, during which the Patriots won 21 games, shattering the previous mark of 18 wins in a row, which the Miami Dolphins had achieved in the 1972–1973 season. The season ended with Tom Brady and the Patriots winning their third Super Bowl in the last four years, which they did against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the 2007 season, Tom Brady set a record by throwing an astounding 50 touchdown passes (the record was later surpassed by Brady’s longtime adversary Peyton Manning in 2013), and he led New England to the first 16–0 regular season in the history of the NFL. As a result, he was awarded the title of NFL Most Valuable Player. The Patriots were favorites to win Super Bowl XLII, but the New York Giants came out on top. Brady had a severe knee injury in the opening game of the 2008 NFL schedule, which ended up requiring season-ending surgery for the quarterback.

The following year, he returned to his old self and earned a spot on the Patriots’ Pro Bowl roster after leading the team to another postseason trip. In 2010, Tom Brady led the National Football League with 36 touchdown passes and guided the Patriots to the best record in the NFL (14–2). Even though the Patriots were defeated in the first playoff game of the subsequent playoffs, he was awarded league MVP for a second time and became the first player to win the award unanimously.

During the 2011 season, Brady passed for 5,235 yards, becoming one of two quarterbacks to surpass Dan Marino’s single-season passing yardage record (also broken by Manning in 2013). He also led the Patriots to another Super Bowl loss, this time to the Giants in February 2012. Drew Brees holds the record for most passing yards in a single season, but Brady is one of the two quarterbacks who have surpassed it.

Although the Patriots were unsuccessful in winning the AFC title in 2012 and 2013, Brady continued to perform at a Pro Bowl level throughout both seasons. Following the conclusion of the regular season in 2014, he assisted the club in overcoming its most recent obstacle, which resulted in New England’s dominating victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game, which earned Tom Brady his record sixth start in the Super Bowl.

It was shortly discovered that 11 of the 12 footballs that the Patriots had used throughout the game were significantly underinflated, which may make them easier to handle and for them to go longer when thrown. However, that triumph was quickly shrouded in controversy when it was discovered that this. The National Football League investigated not to take any action before the Super Bowl. As a result, Tom Brady led his team to a victory against the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 28–24. During the game, Brady threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns, which helped him receive the game’s Most Valuable Player award for the third time.

In May 2015, the NFL decided to ban Tom Brady for four games of the following season because he participated in ball deflations during the AFC championship game and did not cooperate entirely with the investigation into the issue that the NFL was conducting. In their appeal of the suspension, Brady and his legal team argued that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had exceeded the parameters of the bargaining agreement between the league and the players’ union in meting out the punishment. Shortly before the 2015 NFL season started, a U.S. federal judge agreed with Brady and his legal team and ruled that the suspension should be overturned.

The incident seemed to encourage Brady, as he led the Patriots to a perfect start of 10–0 in the 2015 season, eventually resulting in New England winning yet another division championship. During that season, he threw for 4,770 yards and an NFL record-tying 36 touchdowns, but his team’s season ended in the AFC championship game when Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos defeated them. However, the United States Court of Appeals upheld his ban from the previous year over the offseason, and it was applied to the first four games of the 2016 season.
