Kathy Burke Bio, Life, and Career:

Katherine Lucy Bridget Burke is a well-known English actress. She was born on June 13, 1964. She rose to recognition because of her recurring role as Magda on the British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous (1992–2012) and her appearances on sketch shows like French and Saunders (1988–1999) She also worked frequently with fellow comic Harry Enfield, which contributed to her success in the comedy industry. She played the role of Linda La Hughes in the BBC sitcom Gimme Gimme Gimme from 1999 until 2001, and for her work on the show, she was nominated for two BAFTAs and won a British Comedy Award.

Her parents, Irish Catholics Paddy and Bridget brought her up in Islington, which is located in North London. Burke was born in the Royal Free Hospital in London on June 13, 1964, and she was raised there. There are two older brothers in her family. When Burke was just two years old, her mother, who was known as Bridie, passed away from cancer. She went to the Maria Fidelis Convent School in Euston, which is a secondary school, till she became 16 years old.
