Kevin Brennan Bio, Life, and Career:

Kevin Brennan is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, and writer from in the United States. He was born on May 2, 1960. In addition to being the host of the podcast Misery Loves Company, he is most well-known for his work on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update in the years 1999 and 2000. Brennan was selected as the “Best Comedian” at the 2005 Aspen Comedy Festival, and in the same year, his half-hour stand-up special was broadcast on HBO. He was a featured performer on the Just for Laughs comedy tour that traveled across Canada in 2007, and he gave a performance at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal in 2009.

Additionally, he appeared on Red Eye with Tom Shillue on multiple occasions in 2016 and 2017. Brennan was the ninth of ten children born to an Irish Catholic family that resided in Chicago at the time of his birth. In addition, the family had a home in Philadelphia. In the 1980s, Brennan began performing stand-up comedy in Chicago after a coworker at the restaurant where he was working at the time encouraged him to do so. In 1987, he made the decision to go to New York City in order to advance his profession as a stand-up comedian.
