Kira Dixon whose birth name was Kazantsev and who was born on July 20, 1991, is a beauty pageant winner from the United States. She was crowned Miss America 2015 on September 14, 2014. She had previously won the title of Miss New York on May 24, 2014, while serving as Miss City of New York, making her the third Miss New York to win Miss America in a row to come from the state of New York. Kazantsev is a first-generation American as a result of the fact that she was born on July 20, 1991, in San Francisco, California, to Russian parents who had moved to the United States after emigrating from Moscow in 1990.

Both of her parents are professionals in their respective fields; her father, George, is a general surgeon, and her mother, Julia (née Afrikian), is a real estate broker. She has one younger brother who goes by the name Boris and he is eight years her junior. Kazantsev is able to communicate effectively in three languages, namely English, Russian, and Spanish. She received her diploma from Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California, where she had previously served as the president of the student body in the year 2009. She received her education from Hofstra University, which is located in Hempstead, New York.

She also volunteered for the re-election campaign of United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in 2012 and served as a campaign volunteer for that campaign. Kazantsev is currently serving as the Director of Digital Channels and Community Engagement for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. She attended classes at a university in Barcelona, Spain, while she was a junior at Hofstra University. After receiving his degree from Hofstra University, Kazantsev submitted applications to a number of law schools and was eventually accepted to Notre Dame Law School and Fordham Law School. After being crowned Miss America 2015, she expressed in interviews her desire to focus her legal career on international law after earning her J.D. degree.

Kazantsev spent the summer of 2017 studying at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he participated in and completed the Stanford Ignite entrepreneurship program. Stanford Ignite is a “suite of certificate programs that teaches innovators to formulate, develop, and commercialize their ideas.”She has worked as a hostess, waited tables, interned at a local affiliate of Planned Parenthood, and completed summer internships at a political consulting firm in Washington, District of Columbia.

In addition, she began making guest appearances on the shows Golf Today and Golf Central, and she became a special contributor to GolfPass.
