Kodak Black Bio, Life, and Career:

Dieuson Octave was born on June 11, 1997, in Pompano Beach, Florida, to parents who had immigrated from Haiti. His birth name was Kodak Black. Kodak Black, also known as Bill K. Kapri, is a controversial American rapper who is most known for his hits ‘Roll in Peace,’ ‘Tunnel Vision,’ and ‘No Flockin.’ Although he was born and reared in Florida, he came from a family that had Haitian ancestry. He had the ambition to become a rapper ever since he was a teenager, and he put a lot of effort into achieving this aim.

He worked a lot in recording studios and dedicated a lot of time to expanding his vocabulary. However, because of the seedy neighborhood he lived in, he became involved in a wide variety of misdemeanors. During his tenure at the school, he was involved in a number of fights and was arrested on multiple occasions for breaking and entering into homes. When he was 12 years old, he began to take his vocation as a musician seriously and formed a band that went by the name ‘Brutal Youngnz.’

In subsequent years, he was a member of another band known as ‘The Kolyons.’ His debut mixtape, titled ‘Project Baby,’ was made available to the public in 2013, and in the following years, he issued ‘Heart of the Projects’ and ‘Institution.’ Once, Drake uploaded a video of himself dancing to Kodak’s song “Skrt,” which catapulted Kodak to the forefront of the music world.

Painting Pictures, his first album to be recorded in a studio, was released the same year and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 album list. Octave soon became engaged with the more anti-social aspects of the neighborhood, which was indicative of the less-than-ideal environment he was living in. At a young age, he became involved in the distribution of illegal substances and a variety of other misdemeanors.

He did not put much effort into his schoolwork and had a bad attendance record as a result. In addition to this, he was involved in other fights while at school, which resulted in him being kicked out of the school multiple times.

He was disinterested in school and had his sights set on a career as a rapper. In order to acquire a solid command of the English language, he read a number of novels. Rapping was something he had already begun doing by the time he became 12 years old. Octave would subsequently reflect on his less fortunate days and say that he had just two choices available to him at the time: either to rap or to sell drugs under duress.

He began going to more recording studios and discovered that these were the kinds of settings he truly liked being in. On the other hand, he did not change his criminal behavior and was continuously taken into custody for various offenses. He was taken into custody on a major offense while he was only 15 years old.

He started using the stage name “J-Black” and took his aspirations in the rapping industry more seriously. Soon after he turned 12, he became a member of a neighborhood rap group called ‘Brutal Youngnz.’ Following the failure of his ambitions to realize them with the band, he became a member of a new band known as ‘The Kolyons.’

In December 2013, Kodak released his first mixtape, titled ‘Project Baby.’ It was a crucial factor in Kodak’s rise to popularity and was successful in the local nightclubs. Over the course of the subsequent two years, he issued two more mixtapes under the titles ‘Heart of the Projects’ and ‘Institution.’

In spite of the fact that his music was well-received in the community, he had not yet garnered widespread attention. In October of 2015, popular rapper Drake performed a dance routine to Kodak’s song ‘Skrt.’ This was a crucial turning point in Kodak’s history and a career-defining event. As a direct result of this, the number of people searching “Google” for his music skyrocketed, and he gained notoriety on a national level.

“Atlantic Records” wanted to capitalize on Kodak’s growing popularity, so they made him an offer for a recording contract. In May of 2016, Kodak made the announcement that they would be hosting a ‘Parental Advisory Tour.’ However, due to circumstances beyond his control, he was unable to be present at the occasion.

The first track to be published as a consequence of the collaboration between Kodak and French Montana was titled “Lockjaw,” and it was made available for purchase in May of 2016. French Montana was one of the first major rappers to work with Kodak. The song appeared on the charts of various different R&B and hip-hop radio stations.

His solo single, titled “Skrt,” was released in August of 2016, and it quickly rose to the top of several R&B and hip-hop charts. He capitalized to the fullest on his rapidly expanding reputation and published his fourth mixtape, titled ‘Lil B.I.G. Pac,’ at some point in the future. “Atlantic Records” was the company that distributed the mixtape. It was the first album of his to get a spot on the music charts of ‘Billboard’ magazine.

According to XXL, he is a member of their ‘2016 Freshman Class.’ Despite this, the success was tainted because of something that occurred on social media. A video of him making fun of a black woman by rapping was shared on several social media platforms. The song’s lyrics gave the impression that she was not as gorgeous as a woman with a lighter complexion.
