Mike Quackenbush Bio, Life, and Career:

A well-known author, Mike Quackenbush was born in the USA on March 18th, 1976. On January 9, 2023, Mike Quackenbush had a net worth of $5 million. On June 19, 1999, at Down In Flames, Quackenbush made his CZW debut, and he opened the show by winning a three-way dance against Reckless Youth and Ric Blade. On May 14, 2005, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he defeated Arik Cannon, Claudio Castagnoli, B-Boy, Kevin Steen, and Super Dragon to win CZW’s Best of the Best 5 elimination tournament. A two-time CZW World Junior Heavyweight Champion, he also won the title twice.

American podcaster, author, trainer, promoter, and semi-retired pro wrestler Michael Quackenbush (born March 18, 1976) is also known by his ring name, Mike Spillane. Quackenbush is well-known in the wrestling industry for his roles as Chikara’s promoter and head trainer of its Wrestle Factory, both of which he co-founded in 2002 alongside Reckless Youth. During his 25-year career on the independent wrestling circuit, Quackenbush won the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship and the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Among the greatest wrestlers of all time, Quackenbush was ranked by Sports Illustrated at number 101 in 2016.

Some of the podcasts and video podcasts he has presented include: The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe, Chikara Podcast-A-Go-Go, Deep Blue Something, The Trending Show, Daddy on Board, Kayfabe 2.0, and Til We Make It. In addition, he writes all of the articles for the news website Quackenbush on Camelot, which covers events at Medieval Times and other renaissance fairs.

Among Quackenbush’s seven publications are two memoirs, Headquarters (2001) and Secret Identity: Essays From Both My Lives. Both autobiographies were made available as Kindle ebooks in May of 2010, and he published 7 Keys to Becoming a Better Performer: A Book for Fellow Pro-Wrestlers a few years later in 2017. From 1998 until 2008, Quackenbush contributed to various publications, including The Wrestler and Pro Wrestling Illustrated, where he wrote the regular piece “From Bell To Bell.”

Quackenbush’s battle with the new Gekido stable of 17 assailAnt, combatAnt, deviAnt, and The Shard began on February 26, 2012. It was later revealed that assailAnt, combatAnt, and deviAnt had all dropped out of the Chikara Wrestle Factory, that The Shard had been Jigsaw’s training partner, and that 17 had fashioned his career after Quackenbush’s and claimed to be just as talented as him but had never been recognized for it. The organization declared its desire to reveal Chikara’s “dark underbelly.” Quackenbush snatched 17’s hand and shattered his fingers, putting him out of commission for nine weeks after their ten-man tag team matches victory over Gekido on June 2 at Chikara’s second internet pay-per-view, Chikarasaurus Rex: How to Hatch a Dinosaur.

On August 18, Quackenbush and Jigsaw competed against 17 and The Shard in a tag team bout. After 17 took four of Quackenbush’s Quackendrivers, the bout was called off and Quackenbush was disqualified for “extreme punishment,” therefore terminating 17’s Chikara career. After the game, Jigsaw questioned Quackenbush about his newfound aggression. Later, Quackenbush clarified that, after High Noon, Eddie Kingston had replaced him as Chikara’s public face, relieving him of the responsibility to suppress his temper and play by the rules. Quackenbush competed in the 2012 King of Trios on September 14 with the same trio as he used in 2011.

The three advanced to the second round after beating Combat Ant and deviAnt of the Gekido and Soldier Ant of the Colony in their first-round battle. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Quackenbush kept his vicious streak going after the match by targeting combatAnt and knocking him out of Chikara as well. After losing the next day to Team Sendai Girls, Quackenbush, Jigsaw, and Toyota were knocked out of the competition. On November 18th, Quackenbush attempted to have The Shard eliminated from Chikara, but Jigsaw superkicked his former Campeones de Parejas partner and took The Shard out of the ring.

After a year off, Chikara returned on May 25, 2014, with the You Only Live Twice iPPV, and Quackenbush was announced as the new Director of Fun. In May 2016, Quackenbush stated that he will be coming out of retirement to face Johnny Kidd in what was being billed as Kidd’s retirement match on May 28. The score was 1-1 after eight rounds of play, each lasting three minutes. On December 3, 2016, Quackenbush wrestled again, however, he ended up losing to Drew Gulak in Gulak’s Chikara retirement match. On April 1, 2017, Quackenbush faced off against Zack Sabre Jr. and was promptly beaten. During a British Rules match on September 2nd, Quackenbush prevailed against Johnny Kidd.
