Patience Ozokwor Bio, Life, and Career:

Patience Ozokwor is a well-known Nigerian musician, fashion designer, gospel singer, and actor. She was born on September 14, 1958, in Nigeria. During the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards, she was honored with the award for Best Supporting Actress in both 2012 and 2013. Ozokwor was one of the one hundred Nigerians the government of Nigeria awarded in 2014 as part of the festivities commemorating the merger of the northern and southern protectorates.

Ozokwor was born in the community of Amaobo, Ngwo, which is located in what is now the state of Enugu, Nigeria. He received his education at the Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos. Since she was in elementary school, when she would participate in a variety of theatrical plays, Ozokwor has had a strong interest in the performing arts.

After that, she earned a degree in fine and applied arts from the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, where she studied in the years that followed. She had previously achieved fame in the entertainment industry before beginning a career in acting and had initially found success in radio drama. Someone Cares is the name of a soap opera that she appeared in that was produced by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

She was married when she was 19 years old and now has a total of eight children, three of whom were born to her and five of whom were adopted. In the year 2000, she was bereaved of her husband. She stated that the greatest disappointment in her life was not being able to marry the man she had always dreamed of, as well as the fact that her children prevented her from marrying again after the death of her husband. Patience Ozokwo went on to become a teacher once she completed her education. Her first job was as a teacher at WTC Secondary School in Enugu, where she worked for a while. A position she held for a period of four years before deciding to pursue a career in broadcasting with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

During her time at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), she appeared in a popular soap opera known as “Someone Cares,” which garnered a lot of attention from the general public. After that, she worked with Chika Okpala on a commercial as a member of her crew. Her performance in the commercial attracted the attention of numerous other directors in Nollywood, including Chief Zebrudaya, who encouraged her to pursue a career in acting. Since then, Patience Ozokwo has become a well-recognized face in the world of film fans. She has had the privilege of appearing on screen alongside some of the most well-known actors in Nigeria, like Pete Edochie, Chinedu Ikedieze, Sam Loco Efe, Osoufia, and Osita Iheme, amongst others.

She was most recently seen in the Mo Abudu Netflix films Chief Daddy (2018) and Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke, in which she played the role of Madam Pat (2022). Mama G was married to the late Emeka Ani. She was only a teenager when she tied the knot with him. She is the mother of three biological children and several more whom she has adopted. At the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2012 and 2013, Patience Ozokwo was recognized as having achieved excellence in the role of a supporting actress.

She was only 19 when she was married, and her spouse later passed away from a condition that was deadly. She now has grandchildren in addition to her three biological children and five adoptive children.  Also, she holds a position as an ordained evangelist.
