In the 2001 comedy film “Not Another Teen Movie,” directed by Joel Gallen, he appeared as “Mr. Briggs,” a character in a spoof on the genre of teen movies.

In 2004, he appeared on stage in Sam Shepard’s play “The God of Hell,” which was presented in New York by the New School University and received widespread praise from theater critics. During the same year, he had an appearance in the miniseries’ Category 6: Day of Destruction’ that was shown on CBS. In 2005, he was nominated for both the Golden Globe and the Emmy Award for his performance as “Colonel Tom Parker” in the biographical miniseries “Elvis,” which was based on the life of the music legend Elvis Presley. The miniseries received widespread critical praise.
