American director, producer, and actor Robert Duncan McNeill. He has directed episodes of “Chuck,” “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,” “Dawson’s Creek,” and “Las Vegas.” Acting-wise, he’s most widely recognized for his role as Lieutenant Tom Paris on ‘Star Trek: Voyager. McNeill moved to Atlanta with his family after being born in North Carolina, but he spent most of his childhood in Washington, D.C. The studio production of “The Wizard of Oz” was his first professional acting performance.

Later, McNeill attended the acting program at the Juilliard School in New York City. The role of Charlie Brent on the soap opera All My Children brought him early acting success. After gaining experience as a director, he branched out into producing. Directing 73 episodes of the action-comedy drama series ‘Chuck’ was his first big break. The actor is a devoted family man and a proud father of three. Formerly, he wed Carol Seder.

Robert Duncan McNeill made his film debut in 1981 in a small, uncredited role in the film Sharky’s Machine. In 1987, he made his acting debut on two episodes of the popular soap opera All My Children. He also had a major role in the film “Masters of the Universe,” released that same year. He portrayed Colin Midford on the drama series “Going to Extremes” for two seasons, from 1992–1993. McNeill made guest appearances on “Second Chances” soon after the series finale aired.

In 1995, he was cast as a regular on the science fiction TV series ‘Star Trek: Voyager,’ which became his first major acting role. He became famous thanks to his role as Tom Paris. In the short film The Battery, which was released three years later, McNeill had dual roles as director and executive producer. After that, in 2001, he became the director of both Dawson’s Creek and Star Trek: Enterprise. In the years that followed, he helmed a number of hit shows, including Dead Like Me, One Tree Hill, Las Vegas, and Desperate Housewives.

McNeill’s directing career took off in 2007 when he took the helm of the action spy comedy TV drama ‘Chuck.’ The same can be said for his role as executive producer. He also directed two episodes of “The Knights of Prosperity” and seven episodes of “What About Brian” that year. After directing a few episodes of “666 Park Avenue,” McNeill oversaw the production of “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” from 2014 until 2018.

Recently, he has only directed a few episodes of shows like ‘Red Band Society,’ ‘Salvation,’ ‘The Orville,’ ‘The Gifted,’ and ‘The Resident.’ Robbie found his calling on the stage and pursued acting opportunities throughout his teenage years, appearing in both community theater productions and PBS shows. He persisted, and in the end, landed a small role in the Atlanta-filmed Burt Reynolds movie Sharkey’s Machine.
Once Robbie graduated from high school, he relocated to New York City and Broadway, where he eventually landed the role of “The Boy” in a touring production of The Fantasticks. Robbie spent two years studying at the Juilliard Conservatory after his initial success came at a snail’s pace.

Robbie was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1988 for his performance as Charlie Brent on the hit ABC daytime drama All My Children, a role he landed while still a student at Juilliard. In the meantime, he also starred in the science fiction film Masters of the Universe alongside Dolph Lundgren, Courteney Cox, and Frank Langella, and he produced and starred in the New York premiere of Sam Shepard’s The Four-H Club on off-Broadway.

After leaving All My Children, Robbie joined the cast of the off-Broadway play Lucy’s Lapses and played the role of “Jack” in the national touring production of Stephen Sondheim’s smash hit Broadway musical Into the Woods. Away from work, he helped his wife Carol run Real Play Productions, an organization she started to give kids from low-income schools opportunities to express themselves creatively through improvised theater, dance, and music as a means of coping with the challenges they face at school.
