Alexandra Virina Scott was born on October 14, 1984, in Poplar, which is located in East London. Her parents, a British mother with Northern Irish, English, and Lithuanian-Jewish ancestry and a Jamaican father, were the parents of Alexandra Virginia Scott. She learned in 2021 while participating in the filming of the BBC show Who Do You Think You Are?, that her maternal great-grandfather was a Jewish person who opposed fascism in East Londo, and that her fourth great-grandfather was a black man who owned 26 slaves.

Both of these facts were uncovered while she was participating in the show. Scott received his education at Langdon Park School, which holds the prestigious title of Sports College. In 2022, Scott disclosed in her autobiography that she had been the target of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her father when she was a child. She also made a commitment that all of the proceeds from her book would be donated to organizations that support women who have been victims of abuse of a similar nature.

In 1992, while he was only eight years old, Scott became a member of Arsenal. She initially broke into the first squad as a striker or right winger, but later on, she was moved to a full-back position. After playing for Arsenal during the 2004–2005 season, Scott made the decision to sign with Birmingham City and continue her career there. Upon Scott’s arrival at the club, they went on to earn a fourth-place finish in the FA Women’s Premier League National Division. However, because of Birmingham’s ongoing financial issues, she was forced to return to Arsenal for the 2005–2006 season.

After returning to Arsenal, Scott assisted the team in winning both the FA Women’s Premier League and the FA Women’s Cup in the domestic competition. She was also an important part of Arsenal’s historic “Quadruple” season, in which the team won all of its trophy competitions, including the UEFA Women’s Cup in 2006–2007. This season was the first time that Arsenal won all four of their trophy competitions. Scott’s goal was the lone scorer in Arsenal’s two-legged playoff match against Ume IK, and the Gunners went on to become the first British team to ever win the competition. She made a total of 22 appearances in the Premier League and scored twice.

She participated in forty different competitions and notched four goals while she was on the field. During the 2007–2008 season, Scott played in a total of 21 games and scored once. She participated in 35 games across all competitions and contributed three goals to the team’s scoring total. During the 2008–2009 season, Scott only managed to score once in thirteen total games. She participated in 24 games across all tournaments and added two goals to her total. He played for the England national team 140 times and competed for Great Britain in the Summer Olympics in 2012.

At the club level, Scott has had three distinct stints with Arsenal, which were separated by a season with Birmingham City in 2004–05 and three years spent playing for the Boston Breakers in the Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) in the United States. In the 2007 UEFA Women’s Cup Final, she scored the goal that proved to be the game-winning one for Arsenal. 2019 marked the year that Scott was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame. As of the year 2019, Scott is working as a pundit for both BBC Sports and Sky Sports. He was also a commentator for both the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
