Bert Kreischer Bio, Life, and Career:

Bert Kreischer is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host, and actor who was born in the United States on November 3, 1972. He is also known by his nickname “The Machine.” While he was a student at Florida State University in 1997, he was profiled in an article that was published in Rolling Stone. The publication referred to Kreischer as “the best partyer at the nation’s number one party school,” and it gave him this title.  Additionally, the article was used as a source of inspiration for the film National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, which was released in 2002.

In the past, Kreischer has acted in the role of host for the television shows Bert the Conqueror and Trip Flip on the Travel Channel, as well as Hurt Bert, which aired on FX.  It is planned that he will play a role in the comedy film The Machine, which is based on his life. It is his responsibility to produce and host the weekly comedy podcast known as Bertcast, which is part of the All Things Comedy network. His mother was an educator in the field of early childhood development, and his father was a lawyer specializing in real estate.  After completing his secondary education at a prestigious Jesuit high school, he went on to study at Florida State University (FSU). The English language was Kreischer’s area of study, and he participated in the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. In 1997, when Kreischer was in his sixth year at Florida State University, the publication The Princeton Review released their annual list of the best “party schools” in the United States, and Florida State University was ranked first on the list.

Towards the end of that same year, Kreischer was profiled in a six-page article that appeared in Rolling Stone. The author of the piece referred to him as “the top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country.”The article recounted Kreischer’s party antics, which included bouts of heavy drinking and public nudity. The article was titled “Bert Kreischer: The Undergraduate.”  Based on the article in Rolling Stone, director Oliver Stone expressed interest in purchasing the rights to Kreischer’s life.

All of the scripts that had been sent in were sent back to their respective writers after the development deal with Oliver Stone was unable to be completed. In order to sell the script to National Lampoon, one of these writers substituted a different name for Kreischer.  This served as the inspiration for the National Lampoon movie Van Wilder, which was released in 2002 and starred Ryan Reynolds. When asked about his participation in the movie, Kreischer responded in 2014 to the New York Post as follows: “I’ve never seen it.

It was completely unrelated to me in any way.”  During an appearance on the podcast hosted by Joe Rogan, Kreischer discussed how executives from National Lampoon confirmed to him that he was the basis for the film.  In addition, he stated unequivocally that he would never file a lawsuit against National Lampoon for producing the movie without his participation. Kreischer currently resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife, LeeAnn, and their two children.
