Connie Sellecca Bio, Life, and Career:

Concetta Sellecchia was born to Italian immigrants Primo and Ann Sellecchia on May 25, 1955, in The Bronx, New York. She had a sibling, Vincent Sellecchia, and a sibling, Rosann Mack, with whom she grew up. She attended ‘Pomona Junior High School’ after moving to Pomona, New York with her family when she was 12 years old. Eventually, Sellecca attended Spring Valley’s “Ramapo High School,” where she was exposed to and developed an appreciation for the performing arts.

Sellecca’s entry into show business came via the modeling world. In the 1978 Japanese-American fantasy TV film The Bermuda Depths, she made her acting debut. Jennifer “Jennie” Haniver was her enigmatic character name in the show. In that same year, she started filming the first of 19 episodes for the CBS comedy series Flying High, about the escapades of three airline flight attendants. Three flight attendants for “Sun West Airlines” were portrayed by Sellecca, Kathryn Witt, and Pat Klaus. Their names were Lisa Benton, Pam Bellagio, and Marcy Bower.

In the CBS film Captain America II: Death Too Soon, she starred as Dr. Wendy Day opposite Len Birman, Lana Wood, Christopher Lee, and Reb Brown. Sellecca portrayed the role of Alix Goldman in the 1979 TV horror film She’s Dressed to Kill. The next year, she made an appearance as “Pamela Williams” in four episodes of the television series Beyond Westworld, based on the 1973 film “Westworld.”

While William Katt played the title role of “Ralph Hinkley”/”Ralph Hanley” on the ‘ABC’ superhero comedy-drama “The Greatest American Hero,” she played “Pam Davidson,” Ralph’s lawyer lover, from 1981 to 1983. Sellecca’s contract was terminated the moment production on “The Greatest American Hero” wrapped. As a result, she became a part of the cast of the primetime ABC soap opera Hotel. She’ll be playing Christine Francis, a main character, and Peter McDermott’s love interest.

During an episode of the 1984 ‘ABC drama series ‘Finder of Lost Loves,’ she made an appearance as ‘Sara Hawthorne Nevins. The 1985 TV film “International Airport” featured Sellecca as “Dana Fredricks.” Gil Gerard played ‘David Montgomery,’ another character in the film. In her subsequent film, the ABC romantic comedy The Last Fling (1987), she portrayed “Gloria Franklin.”

She played ‘Erika Bernstein’ in the 1989 ‘NBC’ miniseries ‘Brotherhood of the Rose,’ inspired by David Morrell’s novel of the same name.
Sellecca portrayed first officer ‘Madeline “Mimi” Tompkins’ in the 1990 ‘CBS’ drama film ‘Miracle Landing’, based on the in-flight tragedy aboard ‘Aloha Airlines Flight 243’ that took place in April 1988.

In the CBS film “A Holiday to Remember,” Sellecca played the role of “Carolyn Giblin” against Randy Travis’s “Clay Traynor.” She played the role of Katherine in the 1997 film “Doomsday Rock” on “The Family Channel.” She then starred as “Stephanie Carver” in the “PAX Network” adaptation of the timeless holiday standard “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.” She and her husband, John Tesh, hosted the radio show “Intelligence for Your Life” from 2013 to 2015.
