Steve DeOssie Bio, Life, and Career:

Born on November 22, 1962, Steve Leonard DeOssie is a retired American football linebacker and long snapper who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New York Jets, and New England Patriots. He also played college football at the University of Oklahoma. He attended Boston College and was on the football team there. Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston, Massachusetts, is no longer in operation, and DeOssie played for head coach Bob Currier while he was a student there. In addition to that, he was a catcher for the baseball team. In football, baseball, and basketball, he was recognized as an All-State performer.

He went on to play football at Boston College, where he was a four-year starter at middle linebacker and the team’s long snapper. He accepted a football scholarship from the school. At the beginning of his career, he saw action as a fullback in plays that involved a short amount of yardage.
